1. Is there a limit on the number of freshmen who can participate in this program?
No. We will be able to accommodate all of the students who are interested in enrolling in the program for fall semester 2009.
2. How will the program work?
During the first two years, students will take courses from both AASU and GTS faculty and have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities such as the Georgia Tech cooperative education program. Campus housing and financial aid will be available through AASU. At the end of the second year, and upon successful completion of the degree requirements, students will receive an Associate of Science degree from AASU. The remainder of the program will be focused on completing the degree requirements for the Georgia Tech Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
3. If I change my major, can I attend class on the Atlanta campus this fall?
Admission to the fall class on the Atlanta campus is not available. The 2009 freshman class is full and we are unable to offer you admission at this time.
4. Is there a web site that contains information for freshmen interested in the GTS/AASU program?

5. What is the next step if I want to participate in this new dual degree partnership program?
To confirm your acceptance for the fall 2009 term, please visit www.admiss.gatech.edu/armstrong Once your confirmation is received, we will send you additional information to help you prepare for your studies in Savannah.

7. Will campus housing be available?
Campus housing at AASU is available. After students are accepted, they may visit www.housing.armstrong.edu to submit the AASU housing application. Students will be assigned in mid-July to a specific room, apartment and community based on their preferences.
8. How do I apply for financial aid and scholarships?
Students need to add the AASU school code (001546) to their FAFSA and/or the GA College 411 application. Financial aid is processed through the AASU Financial Aid Office. 9. Will there be an orientation program?
Yes. Navigate Armstrong is the orientation program for all students accepted and attending AASU for the first time. For more information about orientation, visit http://sa.armstrong.edu/Orientations/index.html, call (912) 344-2582, or send an email to navigate@armstrong.edu.
10. What degree programs are available through this new partnership?
Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
11. Are there any conditions or requirements that I have to meet to stay in the program?
Students will complete approximately two years of coursework through AASU. Required courses include humanities, mathematics, science courses, and many of the engineering courses. Upon successful completion of these courses and an overall grade point average of a 2.7 with at least a 2.7 grade point average in the math and science courses, students will continue in the program.
12. Will I be able to transfer to the Atlanta campus?
Students may transfer to GT Atlanta at a later date through one of our partnership programs or as a transfer student. Students may also transfer to the Atlanta or Savannah campus from another college. For information about options, please visit www.admiss.gatech.edu/transfer .
13. What are the next steps after I accept the GTS-Armstrong Atlantic Partnership Program offer?
Once you notify us that you would like to participate in this program, we will forward a copy of your application to AASU. You will also need to have an official high school transcript and your SAT/ACT scores forwarded directly to them at this address:

To be considered for financial assistance, you will also need to add the AASU school code (001546) to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if applicable.

Students who wish to reside on campus should submit an AASU housing application housing.armstrong.edu/about.html as well.
