In an effort to foster equal access to computers and to make the most of the teaching and learning technology available at Georgia Tech, all students are required to own or lease a computer.
Each spring the Office of Enrollment Services will notify accepted students of the minimum platform and software requirements established by the Student Computer Ownership Committee as well as purchasing and financing options.
Because computer ownership is mandatory, an average cost for the minimum platform and software will be included in computing each new student's cost of education for the purpose of determining their eligibility for all forms of student aid.
The Institute, in an attempt to see that the additional cost of purchasing a personal computer does not prevent students from enrolling, commits one-time funding to assist financially needy students with the partial cost of computer purchase.
