Homeschool Admission

Home School Student Applicant Review

Georgia Tech attracts highly competitive students nationwide and from over 70 different countries. Many applicants have unique educational backgrounds that require special evaluation in order to determine their educational achievement. In an effort to appropriately evaluate students who are home educated or attend a non-accredited high school, Georgia Tech has established specific guidelines.

Our review process is designed to serve all home educated applicants by determining academic preparation and competitiveness for admission. This comprehensive evaluation requires submission of specific supplementary information.

ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

If a student pursues a home study program that is accredited by the regional authority (SACS, MSACS, NCACS, NEACS, NACS, or WACS), a state's Department of Education, or certain Georgia authorities (Georgia Accrediting Commission, Georgia Private School Accrediting Commission or the Accrediting Commission for Independent Study), supplementary documents are not required. To determine if your school is accredited by a recognized agency, please visit www.accreditedschools.org/school-search .
