Admitted First-Year

For the latest information on impacts of COVID-19 to Undergraduate Admission, visit

As an admitted first-year student, your perspective on the campus visit will change as you try to envision spending the next several years of your life at Georgia Tech. The goal of our admitted first-year events and information sessions is to provide you with information specific to your needs, to discuss next steps, and to help you to see why Georgia Tech is the right choice for you!

Please note: the reservation form will ask how many guests are attending WITH the student. The number of guests should NOT include the student, as the student is the primary registrant for the event.

Admitted First-Year Visits

Admitted Information Session

Admitted sessions are designed to help admitted first-year students learn more about Georgia Tech. Students will learn more about our campus, culture, and the next steps in the process of becoming a Yellow Jacket! Each session will include a 45 minute Information Session with an Admission Counselor and a 1 hour and 30 minute walking tour of campus with a current student. Students will also have the opportunity to meet other incoming students in the Class of 2024.

Students and families will also have the opportunity to visit a residence hall on campus with the Department of Housing and Residence Life. This optional drop-in Open House is available Monday-Friday after the tour of campus. Please note the times for the date of your visit.

  • April 6, 8, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22 - 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • April 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 21 - 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Directions to the residence hall will be available in the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Many of our colleges/majors and campus departments may offer information sessions or drop in hours on some dates. Please check the related events on your online registration form for available offerings.

In the event a session is full, you are welcome to arrive early to campus and we will place your name on the waitlist. The waitlist will be created on the day of the event and is first come first serve but does not guarantee a space in our information session or tour. If we have no-shows or cancellations, we will give spaces first to visiting students and then to accompanying parents and guests. If spaces are unavailable, you are welcome to speak with our admission staff and use our self-guided tour materials to take your own tour of campus.

Academic Sessions

Offered by our individual colleges, some majors, and other academic programs, these sessions are a great way to enhance your visit to campus and learn more about your chosen field of study. Make sure you check to see when these sessions are available and plan your visit accordingly. During our peak visit weeks in March & April, additional sessions may be offered.

You must individually register for each session you plan to attend. Registration for one event does not guarantee space in a campus tour or other academic session.
