Admitted Freshman

As an admitted freshman, your perspective on the campus visit will change as you try to envision spending the next several years of your life at Georgia Tech. The goal of our admitted freshman events and information sessions is to provide you with information specific to your needs, to discuss next steps, and to help you to see why Georgia Tech is the right choice for you!

Please note: the reservation form will ask how many guests are in your party. The number of guests should NOT include the student, as the student is the primary registrant for the event.

Admitted Freshman Visits

Admitted Information Session

At this time most of our admitted sessions and Gold Carpet Day events are full. We are unable to add additional spaces in advance, however we will create a waitlist the day of the event. You are welcome to arrive early to campus and we will place your name on the waitlist. If we have no-shows or cancellations we will give spaces first to visiting students and then to additional parents and guests.

Admitted sessions are designed to help admitted freshmen learn more about Georgia Tech. Students will learn more about our campus, culture, and the next steps in the process of becoming a Yellow Jacket. Students will have the opportunity to meet other incoming students in the Class of 2022.

Academic Sessions

Offered by our individual colleges, some majors, and other academic programs, these sessions are a great way to enhance your visit to campus and learn more about your chosen field of study. Make sure you check to see when these sessions are available and plan your visit accordingly. During our peak visit weeks in March & April, additional sessions may be offered.

You must individually register for each session you plan to attend. Registration for one event does not guarantee space in a campus tour or other academic session.

College of Design Gold Carpet Day

During Gold Carpet Design Day, admitted students in Architecture, Industrial Design, and Music Technology, along with their guests, have the opportunity to interact with College of Design faculty, academic advisors, and current students. Students also have the opportunity to tour the College of Design facilities.
