Admitted Freshmen

As an admitted freshman, your perspective on the campus visit will change as you try to envision spending the next several years of your life at Georgia Tech. The goal of our admitted freshman events and information sessions is to provide you with information specific to your needs, to discuss next steps, and to help you to see why Georgia Tech is the right choice for you!

Information Sessions & Tours
  • Gold Carpet Day: Admitted Freshmen Open House
This day long event will give you a chance to explore campus, learn more about Georgia Tech and your major and to meet faculty, staff and other newly admitted students.  More information and a registration link will be available in early spring.
  • Admitted Freshmen Information Session and General Campus Tour
This 1 hour information session will be hosted by an Admission Counselor and will cover next steps in your transition to campus. It is followed by a 1 hour general campus walking tour (this is a slightly different tour than the general freshman tour). Click here to view the information presented in this session.
  • Academically Focused Sessions
Offered by our individual colleges, some majors and other academic programs, these sessions are a great way to enhance your visit to campus and learn more about your chosen field of study. Make sure you check to see when these sessions are available and plan your visit accordingly. During our peak visit weeks in March & April, additional sessions may be offered.

Overnight Visitation Programs

  • Connect with Tech
Georgia Tech's overnight visitation program offers admitted students an in-depth look at campus in a more intimate program. This is a great chance to meet future classmates!  Fall semester is reserved for high school seniors, while events in the spring are reserved for admitted freshmen.

Tech in Your Town

  • Accepted Student Meet and Greets
Each Spring, Georgia Tech Alumni Networks across the nation host Meet and Greets for admitted students. At these events, you will have the opportunity to meet other accepted students and families from your area and ask questions about the Tech experience from local alumni.
