Hurricanes Impact Application Deadlines

In response to the impact from recent hurricanes, Georgia Tech will provide a deadline extension for students in the impacted areas outlined below. Fee waivers are also available for students in impacted areas. Students and school officials should contact our office with any concerns about meeting the deadlines outlined below.

Georgia Students

Early Action 1 – Extension until October 31, 2024

  • Application Deadline – Students who live in the Georgia counties listed above have until October 31 to submit their application and be considered in Early Action 1.

    • If Early Action 1 does not appear as an option, select Regular Decision as your application plan and submit your application.

    • Once your application is submitted, you can request a change to Early Action 1 via a form that will be available in your admission portal.

  • Document Deadline – All supporting documents should be submitted by October 31. The document deadline is for school reports, transcripts, recommendations and any other required school information. 

  • Standardized Testing – The self-reported testing deadline remains November 18. Students may self-report scores on their application or in their admission portal after application submission.

As a reminder, an applicant file will be complete and ready for review once it includes an application, school transcript(s) and self-reported SAT or ACT scores. Letters of recommendation are not required for review of an application.

If you are unable to submit all materials by the deadlines above, you can work to complete your file by the Regular Decision deadlines. Review first-year deadlines.

Regular Decision
No changes have been made for Regular Decision, and all applicants applying in this round should do so no later than January 6, 2025. Our Regular Decision application review is the same as used in Early Action. If you have any concerns about this timeline, please reach out to our office directly.
