Prospective First-Year Students

We have many virtual options for high school students to learn more about Georgia Tech this fall. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus soon, and our hope is that this variety of virtual programming will help you learn everything you need to know about Georgia Tech and the college admission process.

As always, demonstrated interest is NOT part of our admission process. These visits are for you, to help you begin to consider whether Tech is the right college fit for you!

We encourage you to view our pre-recorded first-year information session as well as academic and campus department information sessions here. Live virtual programming will resume the week of January 14, 2021, and remain virtual throughout the spring. In January we will share more information regarding admitted student on-campus visit programming in the spring.

  1. Getting Started
Attend a First-Year Information Session. These one-hour information sessions presented by an admission counselor will highlight the many opportunities available at Georgia Tech and the application requirements for first-year admission.
  2. Beyond the Basics
Now that you have the basics we recommend you learn more about specific academic and campus departments by attending one of their information sessions. This is your chance to learn more about on-campus programs that you might be interested in. Click here to view upcoming academic and campus department information sessions.

Georgia Tech Tour Guides are also ready to show you campus on screen. This will be your chance to speak from a current student and ask questions that you might have for them. Register for a Virtual Tour today.

Our hope is to bring campus to you, when you can’t get here to see it for yourself. Explore our Virtual Visit website to experience campus on your own.

GT Admission Representatives are always available at admission@gatech.edu or 404-894-4154 to answer your questions.

On Campus Self-Guided Tour Information

If you choose to visit campus, it is important that you continue to follow the social distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The guidelines require that you stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people, do not gather in groups larger than 10 people, and stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings.

The University System of Georgia (USG) institutions require all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to wear an appropriate face covering while inside campus facilities/buildings. Additional information can be found on our Monitoring Coronavirus website.

Should you choose to visit campus on your own, please note that some buildings may be closed to the public or have restricted access. Admission counselors will be available to answer questions by either phone or email. To access on-campus self-guided tour resources, please click here.
