Veterans Transfer Pathway Program

This program is uniquely designed to assist military veterans who have completed active duty within the past five years successfully transfer into Georgia Tech.

Pathway Requirements

To receive an offer of transfer admission through the Veterans Pathway, you must:

  1. Meet Military Service Criteria
    Have completed active duty military service in the U.S. Armed Forces within the past five years. Please see the veteran definition as outlined by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.

  2. Satisfy Transfer Credit Hour Requirements
    After graduating from high school, you must complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) at an accredited college in the United States. (Dual Enrollment courses, AP/IB or other applicable placement credit will not be counted toward this 30+ hour requirement).

    Complete all required courses for your intended major prior to the established document deadline.

  4. Meet GPA Requirements
    Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and a combined math/lab science GPA of 3.3 or higher. The cumulative GPA includes coursework taken at all colleges and/or universities attended.  The math/lab science GPA includes a combination of mathematics courses at the calculus level and higher along with all natural science courses including both lecture and laboratory components.

    Lab science subject areas include Biology, Chemistry, Calculus-Based Physics, and Environmental Sciences. GT’s transfer equivalency table and GT catalog are your two best sources of information for reviewing lab science coursework.
