High school counselors serve as important liaisons for their students and for Georgia Tech. We want to make sure counselors have access to all of the information they need to help their students apply and enroll in dual enrollment.
The first contact for counselors is our Director of Non-degree Program, Laura Simmons. Please reach out to her via email or telephone.

Do you already have a Slate.org account? Counselors who have submitted documents through CommonApp in the last few years have probably been pre-approved in Slate.org. On your dashboard, click "Colleges" at the top and then select Georgia Institute of Technology. This account will allow you to track your student applications through our admission process. It will also allow you to upload transcripts for your students. In July, we will use Slate.org to provide your admission decisions.
Most students in our Dual Enrollment programs receive state funding to cover the costs of their enrollment at Georgia Tech. Students who attend eligible Georgia high schools and home schools apply for this funding through GAFutures. We ask that high schools have the courses added to the funding application by the first day of each semester. This allows us to approve funding applications before the payment deadline.
Each year, some students in our program are not eligible for funding, because their funding has run out or because they attend a high school that does not participate in the state’s program. Those students must self-pay for their dual enrollment. Payment is traditionally due on the Monday of the second week of class. Costs for self-pay students is determined by their tuition classification. Some students in Georgia high schools may be classified as out-of-state or out-of-country for tuition purposes. Those students may be eligible for a petition or waiver for in-state tuition. In those cases, the student’s admission portal reflects necessary documentation.
More information about tuition, fees, and the calendar for payment is available at our Bursar’s site.
